Alice Romal Figge
March 31, 1933 – February 26, 2013
Alice Romal (Jensen) Figge, 79 of Queen City, Missouri, formerly of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
The daughter of Nels and Estella (Dusenberry) Jensen, she was born on March 31, 1933 in Muscatine County, Iowa. On June 5, 1954 in Durant, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Russell Paul Figge and to this union two daughters were born, Cathy and Cecilia.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Cathy Shepherd of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cecilia Lawson of Lancaster, Missouri; one son by choice, Doug Shepherd and wife, Lisa of Lancaster, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dennis Shepherd of Milan, Missouri, Brent Shepherd of Denver, Colorado, Lerin Shepherd and fiancé, Mason Prince of Denver, Colorado, Jessica Lawson of Lancaster, Missouri and Stephanie Lawson of Lancaster, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Danika Shepherd of Milan, Missouri and Amelia DeGard of Lancaster, Missouri; one sister, Judy Meyers and husband, Milroy of Hermiston, Oregon; one nephew, Howard Figge of Unionville, Missouri; one niece, Roberta Waddle of Fayette, North Carolina and other family members.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Paul Figge on March 28, 2011 and one sister, Dorothy Edwards
Alice and Russell were engaged in farming northwest of Lancaster, Missouri for a number of years. After retiring from the farm, Alice and Russell moved into Lancaster where they made their home.
Alice was a member of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Special CD selections will be "In The Garden", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder". Pallbearers will be Brent Shepherd, Dennis Shepherd, Josh Rader, J. R. Yardley, Trenton Tallman, and Mason Prince. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 one hour prior to the funeral services at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.
